This is a 6 row American base malt. It is often favored by brewers and distillers as a go to for traditional USA beers. It is heartier than its European 2 row counterpart and has a higher diastatic power, allowing it to convert starches in other grains or adjunct, such as corn, up to 25% better than the traditional 2 row malted Barley. It is roasted pale, to a 2.5L.
